Patricia McGuire MD

Pat joined the Board in July 2019.  Originally from St. Louis, Pat attended St. Louis city public schools before going to Ursuline Academy for high school.  She then went to the University of Missouri-Kansas City for undergraduate and medical school before doing a residency in general surgery at Washington University followed by a plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University.  She is a clinical instructor of surgery at Washington University and has been in private practice with Parkcrest Plastic Surgery since 1991.  Pat’s husband, Robert Sciortino is an orthopedic surgeon and she has two daughters; Rose is working toward a PhD in neuroscience and Julia graduated from Wellesley College and is in grad school in Dublin Ireland.  They have 3 dogs, a corgi, and two mixed breed, a dachshund/chihuahua/pekingese and Chinese crested/westie mix.  Pat is an avid scuba diver and exerciser and loves to travel.  She has been a puppy raiser for a service dog and has had two retired service dogs as pets and is very aware of how dogs play a special role in our lives.
