Dear friends of Duo Dogs,
I’m happy to report our offices will reopen for our staff Monday, August 3!
When we return, things will look a little different, BUT our mission of training and connecting dogs with people remains the same. Please know, we are taking every safety measure possible to provide a healthy and safe environment for our clients, staff, volunteers and dogs.
As we look towards our future, I wanted to share a few key updates with you:
- To ease the transition for our dogs, limited training-staff and dogs will begin to return July 20.
- In order to maintain a safe environment, all Touch and Obedience classes are postponed until further notice. Because of this reduced workload, the Duo Dogs team has become a little smaller until we can resume normal activities.
- We’ve stayed busy the past three months, looking for ways we can make a larger impact in our community. To that end, our board has unanimously approved the creation of a PTSD therapy program. The need for this service in our community is tremendous, and this new program will help us reach more people in need through the healing power of dogs.
- To maintain safe social distancing, I would ask that you contact us at 314-997-2325 to schedule any visits to our office.
The last four months have been trying times for all of us, and we could not have weathered the challenges we faced without your unwavering support. As an organization, we have been humbled, inspired and energized by these challenging times more than you can imagine. Because of your continued support, our future looks bright.
