Ways to Donate

Donors like you who make financial contributions, both large and small, are what makes it possible for Duo to do our work. Individual and corporate gifts are the most significant source of funding for our programs. Duo is a 501(c)(3) organization that operates independently and does not receive government funding. Every contribution to the organization helps someone who is waiting for independence or who can benefit from the visit from a specially-trained canine. Donations are the vehicle that allows us to change and save lives every single day and every donation is tax-deductible. There are many ways to give.

Corporate Matching – Increase the impact of your gift and volunteer hours

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will double—sometimes even triple—any charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees, or spouses. In some cases, even volunteer hours are matched!  Click here for more details.

Estate Planning

Give to Duo Dogs via your will, trust, stock, retirement assets, life insurance policy, financial accounts or to make a gift of real estate. Click here for more details.

One-Time and Recurring Gifts

We appreciate gifts of all sizes, from a $25 donation for treats and toys to a $1,000 contribution that can help cover the cost of training a support dog. Our form allows you to set your own custom amount as well as the option of making a recurring gift, which is a convenient way to provide ongoing support to Duo.

Sookie’s Touch

Named in memory of one of Duo’s amazing canine graduates, Sookie’s Touch honors and supports our Touch Therapy and Facility Dog programs. Your gift will assure that children and adults in need will always be able to receive the loving comfort that only our dogs can provide.

DAVID Fund

Duo provides assistance dogs to wounded veterans as they regain an independent lifestyle following military service. The Disabled American Veterans Independence Dog (DAVID) Fund helps with the application fee and equipment costs for these clients.

Planned Giving

A planned gift to Duo will allow you to help Duo now and beyond your lifetime. It can also create tax benefits that include avoiding capital gains taxes on certain appreciated property and reducing income and estate taxes. Contact Sean McCaffrey, Chief Development Director, at 314-997-2325 or smccaffrey@duodogs.org for a confidential consultation.
