Sally Schoenecker has been a Touch Handler with Duo Dogs since 2013. Her first Certified Touch Dog was Yadi, a beautiful black Standard Poodle. He and Sally went to Missouri Baptist Infusion Center and to Children’s Hospital for many years. Currently Sally and Louie, also a black Standard Poodle, go weekly to the Infusion Center at Missouri Baptist Hospital. Louie was in the first group of Touch Dogs certified at Duo after Covid ended. Sally has a passion for Standard Poodles and Louie is the seventh she has owned. Number 8 is Louie’s best friend, Sally’s 3-year-old brown Standard Poodle named Frankie.
Sally was Director of Eliot Chapel Nursery School for 25 years. She has been involved with The Magic House and with Ready Readers since their inception. She is active at The Wednesday Club of St Louis, takes ceramics classes at Meramec Community College, plays Mahjong with friends, attends water aerobics classes, and walks with her dogs daily. Her free time is spent with her husband Perry, her 2 sons and daughters-in-law and 5 grandchildren.
