Board President, Dan Herren - Herren, Dare & Streett
Dan joined the Board in July, 2015. He practices corporate and real estate law at the firm Herren, Dare & Streett in Kirkwood. Dan received a business degree with majors in accounting and finance, and also a law degree, from the University of Iowa. Previously, he was an attorney with the law firm of Armstrong, Teasdale and in-house counsel at Wetterau Incorporated. Dan lives in Kirkwood with his wife, Lise and Willy, a questionably-trained golden retriever (who Dan calls "Willie McGee" after his all-time favorite Cardinal, much to the chagrin of Lise). With some luck Willy will graduate from puppydom and enroll in the TOUCH program. Dan enjoys golf, basketball, motorcycles, Guinness, Cardinal baseball and spending time with Lise and Willy at their cabin in Minnesota.
Board Vice President, Mary Caola Kullman - Spire Inc.
Mary joined the Board in July 2016. A securities lawyer by training, Ms. Kullman served over 25 years as inhouse counsel at then McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing, and then at The Laclede Group, Inc., now Spire Inc. She retired from Spire as its Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary, as well as the Chair of its Foundation. She received her BSBA from Washington University and JD from Saint Louis University. In retirement, she has remained active in the philanthropic community serving on several boards. In addition, she enjoys traveling, getting reengaged with the Sweet Adelines, and walking her dog, Minnie.
Board Treasurer, John Csik - Safety National
John joined the Board of Duo in 2016 and heads the Finance Committee. At Safety National, a major subsidiary of a global, Japanese based insurance group, John serves as Executive VP and CFO and has management responsibility for a third of the Company. John married a dog lover in 1984 and has been forever grateful.
Emily Barlean - FleishmanHillard
Emily Barlean joined the Duo Board of Directors in July 2015. As a consultant for FleishmanHillard, specializing in internal communications and employee engagement, Emily provides counsel on leader communications, change management and building authentic employee communications to clients such as General Motors, Abbott Nutrition and CDW. She uses her experience and expertise to lead Duo's Outreach and Fundraising Committee and hopes her background in marketing and communications will serve Duo well as they continue to grow and serve the community. Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with a minor in Marketing, from Concordia University-Nebraska and her Master's in Communications Management from Webster University. When not on the road for business, Emily is an avid traveler and enjoys visiting new destinations and touring new cities whenever she can.
Wayne Boillat, DVM - Veterinary Group of Chesterfield
Dr. Boillat attended the University of Missouri Columbia, receiving a BS agriculture in 1987 and his doctorate of veterinary medicine in 1990. He is currently a partner and Chief Medical Officer at the Veterinary Group of Chesterfield. Although he loves all aspects of his career, his specific interests in his profession include surgery, reproduction, and sports medicine. Dr. Boillat grew up in west St. Louis County and currently resides in Wildwood. His wife, Lisa, is a veterinary technician at Midwest veterinary Referral Center in Chesterfield. Dr. Boillat has two children - Rachel, a junior at Missouri University of Science and Technology studying engineering and Kyle, a junior at Eureka High School with plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology to study engineering. Dr. Boillat has been involved with Duo for many years, assisting with various veterinary matters. He joined the Board of Directors in 2014 and is currently the Chair for the Acquisition and Breeding Committee. He is a lover of Golden retrievers, having trained them and competed with them in agility, obedience, tracking, and hunt work. When he is not practicing medicine, he attends St. Louis Blues hockey games, as well as participating in various outdoor activities and horticulture.
Debbie Caplin Parkcrest Plastic Surgery
Debbie Caplin has been actively involved with the Duo organization since 2011 when she and Sookie (her first Touch Therapy dog) were certified for Acute Care as well as the Paws for Reading programs. She graduated from the University of Denver and, after her years spent working as a primary school teacher, has been actively involved in numerous not-for-profit activities. These include her current Board position at the APA as well as a longstanding relationship with the Gateway To Hope breast cancer program. She is also the Aesthetics' Center coordinator at Parkcrest Plastic Surgery. Debbie currently has four dogs in the Touch Therapy Program: Charlie, Georgie, Pippa, and Opie and has spent the past several years providing Touch services to cancer patients at the St. Louis Children's Hospital as well as the Missouri Baptist Cancer Center and regularly visits Mercy Hospital Children's Floor. Debbie was a founding member of the Volunteer Advisory Council for Duo where she is also a Temperament Test Evaluator.

I've been a dog lover all my life. Since I partnered with Duo, I have discovered what dogs can now give back to humans. I want to now be that part of Duo experience and help spread the word to others.
William S. Glickert - Midcoast Commercial
Willie joined Duo as a member of the Fundraising Committee in 2008. From 2011-2014 he was a member of the Board of Directors serving on the Development Committee and Facilities Committee along with a number of other responsibilities. He rejoined the Board in Juy of 2015. Willie has spent over 25 years in the financial services industry as a tax compliance officer, financial advisor, and middle market mergers and acquisition intermediary. Currently Willie is owner/broker of Midcoast Commercial, a local real estate firm. Willie has an MBA from the University of Missouri St. Louis and a BSBA from Washington University. He enjoys spending his free time with his black Labrador "Daegan" and boating in Lake of the Ozarks.
Michael A. Boyle, CPA, CIA Stifel Financial Corporation
Mike originally joined the Board of Duo in 2008 serving on the Finance Committee and as Vice President, leaving in June of 2011 when work commitments took him away from St. Louis. He rejoined the Board in July 2015 after returning from a stint at Archer Daniels Midland in Decatur, Illinois. Mike is a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor working in the Internal Audit group at Stifel Financial Corporation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Birmingham City University (England) and a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Birmingham (England). In his spare time Mike follows the St Louis Blues and waits for the England soccer team to let him down every four years at the World Cup.
