Ty Witten serves as the Vice President of Commercial LTO for North America and Australia/New Zealand at Bayer Crop Science, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and enabling the organization to protect Bayer’s licenses to operate, develop and establish technical data, and enable/support registrations. With a focus on safeguarding intellectual property, he educates and empowers both the organization and its stakeholders regarding Bayer’s commercial portfolio.

With over 21 years of leadership experience within the organization, Dr. Witten employs a scientific approach to identify and capitalize on business opportunities that enhance agricultural practices and support customers. His extensive background spans Production and Manufacturing, Strategy, Research & Development, Global Regulatory, and Commercial organizations. He has successfully developed and led teams in the biotechnology and crop protection sectors, guiding products from initial development through to commercialization and discontinuation. His expertise includes crafting strategic visions and fostering business-to-business opportunities, along with engaging with federal and state leadership to champion advancements in biological technologies.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ty co-owns a successful Veterinary Hospital and Rehabilitation Center with his wife, Dr. Tiffani Witten, established in 2015. This St. Charles-based facility is dedicated to providing high-quality medical care as well as a customized approach to pet rehabilitation, integrating both Western and Eastern medicine along with high-quality supplements. The practice emphasizes a low-stress experience for pets and holds certification in fear-free handling.

Originally from Texas, Ty grew up on a farm raising corn, cotton, milo, and wheat in the Texas High Plains. He earned his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Texas A&M University and now resides in Dardenne Prairie, MO with his wife, Tiffani, and their daughters, Taylor and Teagyn.
